Standardized
Stored and integrated in standard SAP solutions. Upstream and downstream processes are all
SAP standard. The EDI process is therefore not placed alongside an SAP ERP system as a special solution,
but integrated directly into it.
Full flexibility
Communication partners in the EDI environment (e.g. suppliers) are created as so-called business partners
. All transfer-relevant settings can be customized here directly in the production system
, and the settings also offer the option of mapping more complex
scenarios without additional programming. However, if additional settings and
parameters are required, these can be implemented via simple ABAP programming for each supplier
. For this purpose, it is possible to influence processing at various points in the
process chain with your own coding.
The simplest transmission paths
No special APIs are required for technical transmission. Using pure SAP standard
processes, business partners can be connected via simple HTTP/HTTPS or even email.
In addition to SAP IDOC, openTrans XML and UN/EDIFACT
are also supported as file formats for transfer.
The most important message types
The most necessary IDOC messages are supported without further adjustments:
- Order (ORDERS)
- Order confirmation (ORDRSP)
- Despatch Advice (DESADV)
- Credit memo procedure (GSVERF)
